Supported Employment Program: Individual and Group Placement
Integrity House provides vocational assistance for our members via the Supported Employment Program.
Integrity House provides a series of services leading to the placement, support, and job retention of members who have been pre-screened by the Department of Rehabilitation as positive, willing individuals capable of working within a competitive integrated setting.
Supported Employment facilitates the community with both Individual and Group Placement options.
Under this program:
· The clubhouse job developer assists members in preparation, development, evaluation, and placement within an integrated work environment.
· Once placed, a clubhouse-appointed job coach learns the entry-level position in advance, training and assisting the member(s) on-site, at no cost to the employer.
· Members are paid at least the prevailing minimum wage, directly by the employer.
· Employers receive the benefits of more economic, cost-efficient staffing with lower turnover rates in entry-level positions.
All employed members continue to have all Integrity House supports and opportunities available to them, including:
- Advocacy for entitlements
- Assistance with housing
- Legal, financial, and personal assistance
· Inclusion in all clubhouse day programs and activities
There are a number of government tax incentives, including the Work Opportunity Tax Credit, which could earn employers up to $6000 per employee with a disability that is employed for at least a 90-day period.
Employers who have any questions or are interested in facilitating work opportunities can direct their inquiries to Integrity House Job Developer Fatima De Leon at fdeleon.ih.jd@gmail.com or call (714) 542-0855, ext. 242.
